1. I got some Wollmeise goodies! After stalking the site all day, I was lucky enough to be at the computer during the shop's update - it was sold out after 20 minutes. I got 3 skeins of sock yarn and 1 lace yarn. I'm so much looking forward to the package now.

2. Yummy lamb's lettuce for dinner. I only hope the baby's buttocks won't suffer from the lemon juice.

3. The Jack-o'-lantern M and R made is so cool! Our first Jack-o'-lantern decorating our balcony and shining into the night.

1. Before picking up R from Kindergarten, we stopped at the day mother's place. All we have to do is get the forms, then we can make the contract. S can start day care next September, or even in June, if we want to!

2. I wound my second self-dyed yarn into a cake with the help of swift and ballwinder. Even though the skein was kind of messy, it worked really well and the yarn cake is just beautiful:

3. We had that yummy broccoli-quinoa-feta salad for dinner. Hadn't had that in a long time!

1. I spontaneously bought rain pants at Jack Wolfskin. My legs were so wet and getting painfully cold, I didn't want to wait another day. The pants keep me warm and dry and my normal pants dried quickly under it. Rainy days, come! I do not fear you anymore!

2. Late lunch at Marché. Tasty food for low price. Yummy!

3. I bought another Paperblank calender for 2009. A big one, with a whole page for every day. I hope that will motivate to keep a diary for me and the girls.

4. At last, I got my glasses fixed. After ... I don't know ... 2 years? Good thing the baby wanted to go outside despite the rain.

Postcrossing

A couple of days ago, I checked out my postcrossing-account for the first time after not having had a look at it for about have a year. It still exists :) And I sent off three postcards, one to Finland, one to Japan, one to the U.S.
About time I get some new postcards on my postcard wall, I figured ;)

Keeping Warm

I've finally finished knitting a scarf for myself. Last winter I made one (well, actually two, as we lost one) for the little girl and one for the husband, but I still walk around with that too small, too thin bought one. Every time I knit a scarf I'm surprised how long it has to be. And knitting it gets boring so soon ... 2 knit, 2 purl with an uneven amount of stitches is the perfect pattern for a cozy and warm scarf - but it's boring!

Well, I'm finally done - and even before the end of the winter.

Now I can go back to knitting my second Scar Sock. This sock was the killing sock during the second Sock Wars, which I learned about only a couple of days ago. It's crazy, I know, but the more I thought and read about it, the more intrigued I got. So, I joined the yahoo-group and will hopefully be able to participate in the next Sock Wars - unless they will conduct it in late April / May, as I will probably be to busy giving birth and getting my life with a second child organised.

I'll post pictures of the scarf and the socks one of these days.

I’m leaving livejournal. I have never used their communities, thus I have never used their strength.

But I have missed certain features that blogger.com offers. It will probably take some time to figure out how things work and what’s possible here, so don’t be too confused about changes.

I will probably copy some entries from my livejournal to this new blog. I have not decided yet if this will be a Sammelsurium* of pretty much everything that comes into my mind (or my hands) or if I will focus on one or two topics. We will see
